Dan and I are sitting in the LA airport waiting for Kari to arrive on her flight, and then we're off to Guatemala at 12:30 am. We just finished reading our devotionals for the day from some of you back home. Thank you so much for the encouraging words, Scriptures, and prayers. Dan's Dad asked an interesting question over the phone as we were saying our good byes: "What
exactly are you guys going to do down there?" We pondered the question and answered that, though we have a travel agenda, we don't really have scheduled projects or goals to accomplish. In fact, our number one goal is to be open to the Lord's leading for the entire week. We are counting on the prayers of our loved ones back home that God would give us clarity of heart and mind. Thank you for interceding for us
! And come to think of it, what a great way to spend a week, just seeking God's will, no matter which border lines have been crossed. We will pray the same for you all back home.
Our only Our contact missionary has already made it safely to Guatemala City and plans to meet us there tomorrow morning. From there we will drive seven hours northeast to Raxruja with a Guatemalan Nazarene doctor who will be our host while in the country.
